Shooting Instructors

Whether you’re new to sporting clays or have been shooting for years, our recommended instructors can help you out! We’ve vetted these folks and trust they’ll improve your game. Each instructor has a different focus, style, and personality, so please contact each of them directly to discuss your needs and make your choice.

Our instructors determine their own pricing and scheduling. You’ll pay your instructor for the lesson and Kiowa Creek for the targets used.

Jim Harbin

Jon Kruger

Jon has won the US Open 8 times, was on the All American First Team 26 times, and has won 7 team gold medals shooting for Team USA. He was also the first inductee to the NSCA Hall of Fame in 1998 and shot on the PSCA for 2 years. He has been a shooting instructor since 1987.

Professional Dog Training and Boarding

While Kiowa Creek does not board or train dogs directly, we do have an on-site professional who provides these services.

Dennis Vanin, owner of Team GunDogs, offers one-on-one hourly training for dog and owner at any level of experience, from socialization of your pup and introduction to birds to working through a particular issue with your experienced pointer or flusher. Both individual and package sessions are available. He also offers board and train services for more in-depth training for 30 days or more.

Team GunDogs also provides boarding for any period of time, with exercise and/or training included for an additional charge.

Gunsmith
