Jim Harbin

“In 2008 I was certified as a Level 1 Sporting Clays Instructor by the National Sporting Clays Association. Since then I  have been instructing all levels of shooters from beginner to tournament shooter.  I instruct individuals, families, husbands and wives, and groups.  I work to increase your ability to hit the target and enjoy shooting sporting clays.”

Dan Callahan

NSCA Level I Instructor

“I started shooting at the age of 7 following my father around the shooting range. Over the past 45+ years I have placed at the state and national level, most notably becoming the Colorado State Champion 5 different years and becoming the National Pump and Side by Side Champion. My favorite part of shooting is spending time with my family at most shoots and introducing new shooters to my passion.”

Dean Blanchard

Certified NSCA Level 2 Instructor
Certified NRA Level 2 Coach
Certified NRA Instructor

“As a Masterclass sporting clays shooter and NSCA level 2 instructor, I have found an innovative approach that takes your style of shooting and makes the targets slower and easier while bringing out your natural talent.  These are some of the basic fundamentals that I teach that can accelerate the learning curve.”

Dean provides lessons at Kiowa Creek primarily on Sundays.

Professional Dog Training and Boarding

While Kiowa Creek does not board or train dogs directly, we do have an on-site professional who provides these services.

Dennis Vanin, owner of Team GunDogs, offers one-on-one hourly training for dog and owner at any level of experience, from socialization of your pup and introduction to birds to working through a particular issue with your experienced pointer or flusher. Both individual and package sessions are available. He also offers board and train services for more in-depth training for 30 days or more.

Team GunDogs also provides boarding for any period of time, with exercise and/or training included for an additional charge.

Visit Team GunDogs for more information, pricing, and availability, or call Dennis at 303-243-2524.

We do not currently have an on-site gunsmith, but we are happy to refer you to Homeland Gunsmithing. Pete Hubbard provides a variety of services and is located near Kiowa Creek Sporting Club. Visit Homeland Gunsmithing for more information or call 719-468-8869.
